Who is The Vinegar Man?
According to Food Distribution Magazine, April 1998 Edition, " To get the pulse on vinegars, you need to go to the source, a person appropriately named, "The Vinegar Man." Lawrence Diggs is an international consultant to vinegar makers and has written a bible on vinegars, titled-what else?-Vinegar.
The Vinegar Man travels the world studying and teaching about vinegar. He has been interviewed in in newspapers, magazines and on radio and television stations about vinegar. He has even appeared on "To Tell The Truth" a nationally syndicated television program shown in virtually all the markets in the United States.
The Vinegar Man, sometimes known as Lawrence J. Diggs, is a well known and respected authority on vinegar. He is the author of "Vinegar" The User Friendly Standard Text, Reference and Guide to Appreciating, Making and Enjoying Vinegar, a highly acclaimed book on vinegar.
The Associated Press declared " (This) tome tells everything the reader might want to know about vinegar: History, commercial production, vinegar making as a hobby, understanding vinegar and how it's produced, flavoring vinegar, and health benefits and medical uses.
The Vinegar Man is also the founder and president of Vinegar Connoisseurs International, an international vinegar company that helps people around the world make and market vinegar from anything with enough sugar or starch. Vinegar Connoisseurs International also brings together people who are interested in vinegar and want to share their interest and excitement with others.
The Vinegar Man is the founder and curator of the International Vinegar Museum. This museum houses hundreds of vinegars from around the world and puts on The International Vinegar Festival annually.
